KELLY WOOD, DANESCOMBE
Tamar Valley, Cornwall
-
2.77 Acres
SOLD

|

This small woodland was planted in 1987, with a mixture of native
broadleaved trees, consisting of ash, wild cherry, oak and alder. It
was previously a market garden, with traces still visible including
daffodils, old Pittosporum hedges and three old Cornish apple trees.
A small shed near the entrance is constructed from concrete blocks,
and some old stonework, reputedly once part of some old miners’
cottages.
The Tamar Valley is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and the
woodland is adjacent to the National Trust’s Cotehele Estate. In
Danescombe you can explore the local mining heritage, with old
incline railways, engine houses and also a ruined, but protected,
paper mill one hundred yards away.
Sold at: £19,000. |
