Just under six
acres of mature woodland, surrounded by pasture and bounded by a
stream to the north. It comes with a small meadow area to the
south, suitable for camping, timber storage or additional
planting. The woodland is a mature mixture of hardwoods including
oak, ash, sycamore, beech, hazel and holly. Improvements under
way (September 2005) include the creation of an internal ride and
circular footpath route. The meadow area includes an access track
from the nearby road, and will be fenced with sheep netting.
The woodland is
situated close to the village of Golant, and is well situated for
Fowey and the Eden Project. It lies within the River Fowey Area
of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Golant includes a youth hostel, a
small hotel and pub.
